Robinhood Chain Transaction Fees Drop Significantly to $230,000

CoinMeta data: Recently, due to the memecoin craze, the network gas saw its transaction fees temporarily drop significantly, comparable to those of mainstream public chains like Robinhood. Growthepie data shows that the total daily transaction fees plummeted by 97% from a peak of around 8 million US dollars at the beginning of September to about 230,000 US dollars on September 16th. The sharp decline in fees was mainly due to reduced congestion within the network and a significant decrease in costs, rather than a substantial loss of activity on the chain. Defillama data indicates that within the 7 days up to September 16th, the trading volume on the Robinhood chain increased by 5% month-over-month to 12.8 billion US dollars. The stablecoin supply on the chain remained relatively stable at around 1 billion US dollars. Although the trading volume and revenue on the core launch platform Pons have cooled down recently, the fees generated by applications on the chain over 24 hours and the protocol revenue still far exceed the underlying chain revenue.
