CoinMeta data: The co-founders Hut, Marc, van, der, and Chijs stated in an interview with CoinDesk that they are growing increasingly concerned about the company's shift towards artificial intelligence technology. They compared the potential of AI to Bitcoin when it entered the market in 2013; although they still believe that this technology will transform the economy, they question whether humans will be able to control its development. They pointed out that AI could expose the vulnerabilities of traditional banking software and threaten the confidence of institutions that rely on interconnected systems. Van, der, and Chijs believe that AI and robotics technology may eventually perform 90% to 95% of existing jobs, while also driving a sharp decline in the costs of goods and services. They are now reinvesting some of their AI profits into cryptocurrencies, mainly through exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
