According to CoinMeta, as reported by eju and tv, Bolivian automobile dealer Toyosa announced at the Expocruz 2026 exhibition on September 18 that it would officially accept Bitcoin as a payment method, allowing customers to use Bitcoin to purchase Toyota vehicles. Bitcoin will join the company's payment options alongside the Bolivian boliviano, US dollars, and USDT. The company had previously introduced Bitcoin payments in 2025, and this move represents an expansion of that option to include Bitcoin as well. Toyosa stated that this payment solution is supported by Towerbank and digital asset service provider Bitgo; Towerbank is responsible for the transaction processing platform and related digital asset services, while Bitgo provides technical infrastructure, security, and transaction tracking support.
