According to CoinMeta, Hana Bank of Korea issued a $100 million, 5-year foreign currency digital bond, directly utilizing the euroclear digital financial market infrastructure. This is South Korea's first digital bond issued using the euroclear blockchain infrastructure. The issuance, registration, and settlement of the bond were all processed on a distributed ledger network, reducing the time from 3 to 5 working days to same-day processing for bond distribution and payment settlement. Investors can trade this bond through their existing accounts and trading systems via the euroclear global settlement network.
