According to CoinMeta, as stated by Alex Thorn, the research supervisor at Galaxy Digital, white-hat security experts have transferred 52.37 BTC units related to the attack on the Coldcard hardware wallet in July to a newly established Crypto Recovery Trust address, which will be used to return the funds to the victims later on. This amount of money accounts for approximately 2.8% of the total attack funds that have been traced so far. About 40% of the funds involved in the second wave of attacks has been identified as being rescued through white-hat efforts.
