Predicted market weekly trading volume breaks through $20 billion for the first time

CoinMeta data: The cumulative trading volume in the prediction market over the past week reached $20.4 billion, breaking through the $20 billion mark for the first time. According to Artemis's data, last week's trading volume increased from $19.8 billion the week before. The trading volume over the past two weeks surpassed the peaks during the World Cups in June and July, making it the busiest period in this field. Last Saturday and Sunday, the total trading volume in the prediction market reached $4 billion, with Kalshi handling approximately $3 billion per day. Kalshi accounted for 77% of last week's trading volume, at $15.8 billion, followed closely by Polymarket with a trading volume of $3.6 billion. With the start of the US NFL and college football seasons, the trading volume in the prediction market also set a new high in September.
