Narayan emphasized that the expansion of data centers must be kept under control to maintain public support, including avoiding over-construction, ensuring that local communities have a voice in decision-making, and bringing tangible benefits through investments in clean energy. The UK government has actively promoted a data center investment plan worth up to 100 billion pounds (approximately 136 billion US dollars). Politicians argue that the UK needs to establish its own data centers to reduce its dependence on other countries.
