Russian crude oil exports soar, but diesel sales ban weakens profits
2026-09-29 20:57:26
According to CoinMeta, Russia's daily crude oil exports rose to 3.71 million barrels in the four weeks up to September 27, reaching the highest level since early August. Driven by tensions in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia's reduction in crude oil transportation after a attack on a key pipeline, the average price of Urals crude oil and ESPO crude oil rose to a three-month high. Although Russia has raised its crude oil export forecasts for 2026 by about 150,000 barrels per day, its refined oil export forecasts have been lowered by about 500,000 barrels per day, and the ban on diesel sales is expected to continue until October, leading to a tight supply of domestic fuel.
