OPEC representative: OPEC+ may maintain the November production quota unchanged
2026-09-30 03:36:16
According to CoinMeta, OPEC representatives stated that OPEC+ may maintain the November crude oil production quotas unchanged at this weekend's meeting and continue to implement the current supply plan. Member countries led by Saudi Arabia and Russia have largely completed the nominal withdrawal of their production cuts for 2023, and it is expected that the production targets for November will be confirmed to remain stable during the video conference on Sunday. Although OPEC+ previously agreed to gradually increase production, the Middle East region has been affected by the Iran conflict, and some production capacity has not yet been restored, leaving the increase in production plans largely on paper. OPEC+ previously indicated that the plan to restore some of the production capacity suspended in 2022 would not be considered until at least the end of this year. Due to insufficient investment, sanctions, and other supply disruptions affecting some member countries, it remains difficult to restore previous production levels. OPEC+'s supply policy for next year will also depend on the assessment of member countries' crude oil production capacity, which is expected to be completed this week and will be discussed at the official ministerial meeting on November 29th.
