According to CoinMeta, data released on Wednesday by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Research (INSEE) shows that France's inflation rate rose to 3.4% in September, higher than 2.6% in August and also exceeding economists' forecast of 3.2%. The current inflationary pressure mainly comes from energy costs, with energy prices rising by 21.2% year-on-year in September. Although the impact of the conflicts in the Middle East has not yet led to a significant second round of inflation, inflation in France's service sector has accelerated, rising to 2.2% in September from 1.9% previously. Food inflation also increased from 1.1% to 1.5%.
