2026-09-30 15:24:40
According to CoinMeta, as reported by The Korea Times, Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange operator Dunamu CEO Oh Kyoung - suk, stated in KBW 2026 that the company's next phase will not be limited to the South Korean cryptocurrency market. Instead, they aim to connect South Korea's vast number of digital asset users and liquidity to the global on-chain financial system. Dunamu plans to build a shared infrastructure that will allow banks, securities firms, payment, and fintech companies to conduct compliant on-chain financial services without having to build their own trading, custody, asset transfer, and anti-money laundering systems. Dunamu mentioned that cooperation with Naver Financial will be the first step, with the goal of connecting Web3 financial infrastructure with Naver and other Web2 users and payment scenarios. The two parties have previously reached a comprehensive share swap arrangement, and the relevant transactions are currently awaiting approval from South Korean regulators.
