UK FCA announces that cryptocurrency companies can apply for regulatory authorization

According to CoinMeta, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) announced that starting from September 30th, cryptocurrency companies will be able to apply for regulatory authorization. For the first time, the UK's cryptocurrency industry will be fully brought under the jurisdiction of FCA regulation, with regulatory standards covering consumer protection, customer asset protection, market integrity, and financial resilience. Companies that plan to continue operating in the UK should submit their applications by February 28, 2027, and the new regulatory framework will come into effect on October 25, 2027.
