Singapore's crypto economy grows to $284 billion, reclaiming its position as the largest in the CSAO region

According to CoinMeta, data from Chainalysis shows that as of June 2026, Singapore's crypto economy has grown by 55.4% to reach $284 billion, regaining its position as the largest crypto economy in Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania ( CSAO ). Institutional platform activities have increased by 94% to $60 billion, mainly concentrated in market makers, OTC, and institutional brokerage. Meanwhile, the crypto economy in the CSAO region has contracted by 6.8%. In the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, there were a total of 5.4 million small-value P2P transfers (less than $10,000 each), accounting for 14.4% of global such transfers. Cross-border stablecoin activities in all markets exceeded those within the country, with regional cross-border activities being 3.2 times that of domestic activities.
