According to CoinMeta, Anthropic reported preliminary revenue of $11.6 billion in the second quarter of 2026, which is a 14-fold increase from $787 million in the same period last year, and for the first time surpassed OpenAI's revenue of $6.7 billion. This growth is mainly due to the rapid adoption of Claude code by enterprises. Anthropic's Q1 revenue amounted to $4.73 billion, which is 2.5 times its annual revenue for 2025. Meanwhile, OpenAI's operating loss expanded to $12.3 billion in Q2, indicating that the profit gap between the two is widening.
