Dogeos Launches EVM Testnet, Pushing Dogecoin to Become Programmable Capital

CoinMeta Data: On September 30th, Dogeos launched a public test network with the aim of introducing Ethereum-style smart contracts to the Doge coin platform, in order to expand Doge's role in decentralized applications. Chiky This test network is a zero-knowledge Roll-up that is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), and uses Doge coins as the transaction fee currency. The goal of this network is to facilitate various applications such as trading, lending, stablecoins, predictive market betting, and gaming. Dogeos The CEO, Jordan Jefferson, stated that the team is working on developing solutions in areas such as payments, decentralized finance, gaming, and markets. Although the user manual still lists DApp as "coming soon," indicating that the developer test network is not yet mature, Dogeos focuses on the public test network, giving developers time to build and test applications.
