According to CoinMeta, U.S. Defense Secretary Hagelthess announced the establishment of an "Autonomous Operations Command" on September 30 at the Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia, with the aim of enhancing the U.S. military's capabilities for large-scale autonomous and robotic combat. This command will encompass drones, artificial intelligence, and command and control systems. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, the Pentagon also plans to triple its spending in the area of autonomous operations and has proposed investing $74 billion in drone and anti-drone technologies in its budget requests.
