Bitmart Plans to Resolve User Arrears Through Court Proceedings, Offering Options for Liquid Assets or Token Recovery

According to CoinMeta, Bitmart has announced a preliminary intention plan to handle users' outstanding balances through court arrangements. Bitmart stated that the sluggish market in 2026, profit-seeking groups, and panic withdrawals led to losses for the business, and a hacker attack in December 2021 resulted in asset losses of approximately $319.5 million. Management believes that a $10 million investment proposed by one investor is not sufficient to solve the problem. Users' balances will be converted based on the weighted average price from July 26, 2026, to the time of record. Users can choose to receive fiat currency, stablecoins, as well as BTC, ETH, SOL, and other liquid assets in proportion, or they can opt for two types of recovery tokens: restitution, token, and continuum, token. Bitmart plans to solicit opinions from the top 50 users with the highest balances within 3 to 4 weeks and then announce the recovery ratios.
