According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has proposed to expand the scope of application of the MiCA rules, intending to include DEFI entrances, pledging (staking), and crypto lending services within the regulatory framework. It also recommends strengthening restrictions on unauthorized stablecoin services.
