The US and South Korea to launch $200 billion in investments; Trump announces three major energy projects

According to CoinMeta, during a meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae-myeong in New York, Trump announced that the United States and South Korea would initiate a new investment of $200 billion. Based on the $350 billion strategic trade and investment agreement reached last year, both sides will build energy and power projects in the United States. First, a $120 billion nuclear power project will be advanced, involving the construction of 8 large nuclear reactors, including 6 Westinghouse AP1000 reactors and 2 South Korean APR-1400 reactors. Second, a $50 billion Alaska liquefied natural gas (LNG) project will be launched to develop resources in Alaska, build new natural gas infrastructure, with American workers participating in the construction. Third, a $22 billion natural gas power generation project with a capacity of 6.4 gigawatts will be constructed in Esinnaal, Texas, adding a significant amount of reliable power supply capacity.
