According to CoinMeta, the Financial Services Commission of South Korea ( FSC ) has proposed to postpone the implementation of crypto taxation, planning to allow tokenized trading of stocks, bonds, and funds starting from February 4, 2027. The proposal has received support from legislators from both the ruling party and the opposition, leading to the postponement of the crypto income tax system that was originally scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2024. FSC also sought public feedback on the relevant rules between October 2 and November 11, 2026. The proposal will expand the scope of tokenization to include traditional securities. FSC confirmed that tokenized securities will be listed alongside non-monetary trust beneficiary certificates and investment contract securities.
