According to CoinMeta, AAVE founder Stani Kulechov tweeted that AAVE has processed a total loan amount of over $1.1 trillion. He pointed out that traditional finance relies on back-office teams, settlement departments, intermediaries, and legal agreements, whereas AAVE coordinates lending through code, and called for more lending activities to be moved onto the blockchain.
