CoinMeta data: The attacker created 36.9 million ZANO tokens before rolling back the blockchain. Taking advantage of a vulnerability in their gateway address, the attacker produced these unauthorized tokens over the past month, which led the team to decide to roll back the blockchain in order to remove these indistinguishable tokens. The Zano team stated that the attacker first exploited this vulnerability on August 29th, creating approximately 18.4 million ZANO tokens in a single transaction. On September 25th, the attacker exploited the same vulnerability again to mint another 18.4 million ZANO tokens. While the team acknowledges that the rollback will affect user trust, they believe it is a necessary measure to remove the unauthorized supply.
