Harvard Law School: Anthropic to Sell a Security Mission That Could Be Rejected by Wall Street
2026-10-02 22:32:54
According to CoinMeta, a latest paper from Harvard Law School indicates that Anthropic is about to sell a security mission that could be vetoed by Wall Street. This company is one of three that have implemented investor-backed mission guardians within their profit structures. The paper was authored by professors Jesse Fried and S.J.D, with candidate Idan Reiter also contributing to it. This comes at a time when Anthropic is entering the public market, and at the same time, the governance of OpenAI is under unprecedented scrutiny. OpenAI completed its transformation into a public interest company in 2025, but Fried believes that this reorganization did not address the fundamental issues. The mention of “the risks of Ben & Jerry” in the paper suggests that mission guardians may not only harm investors’ interests but also achieve results that are completely contrary to their intended goals.
