According to CoinMeta, Matt Gullman, the CEO of Amazon Web Services (Matt Garman), warned that delays in data center construction could put the United States at a disadvantage in the global artificial intelligence competition. In a blog post over 3,000 words, he pointed out that if the U.S. widely suspends data center construction, "the consequences will last for generations." Gullman stated that more than 100 data center bans are being considered nationwide, and if these measures are implemented, the U.S. "could write its own failure story in this competition." He also announced that Amazon will invest over $1 billion in the communities where its data centers are located over the next five years. Gullman emphasized that data center construction is crucial for national security and the economy, saying, "We cannot afford to be careless about this issue."
