According to CoinMeta, the Independent Community Banks Association recently filed a lawsuit against the Federal Reserve Board (FRB) in the United States, requesting that crypto companies be prevented from obtaining federal trust bank licenses. The CEO of the Independent Community Banks Association stated that Congress has not designated national trust licenses as a backdoor for crypto companies to enter the banking system. The FRB has already revoked trust licenses for crypto companies including Coinbase, Circle, and Crypto.com, and has also issued licenses to World Freedom Finance, a company associated with Trump. The association said it would not comment on the lawsuit.
