According to CoinMeta, as reported by Chainalysis, the U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned a Hamas financing network that is suspected of transferring over 2 million US dollars to Hamas through fake charitable organizations and cryptocurrencies. Key individuals Saleem Al to Zaq are accused of fundraising on social media under the guise of aiding Gaza civilians. Their French associates collected donations through organizations such as Association Baraka and Ensemble C Mieux, and after converting the funds into cryptocurrencies, they transferred them to wallets under their control. Chainalysis stated that blockchain analysis revealed that the common transaction counterparts of these addresses also transferred funds to other exchange recharge addresses, which had previously received large sums of money from Hamas-related addresses listed in Israeli seizure orders NBCTF.
