Jim Cramer: Investors need to be wary of the October financial reporting season
2026-10-03 19:13:28
According to CoinMeta, Jim Cramer warned investors in Mad Money that the financial reporting season in October could be even more challenging. He stated that many companies might not be able to deliver the strong results that investors are accustomed to seeing. The largest banks in the United States, including JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs, will release their third-quarter financial reports on October 14th. Cramer pointed out that with rising borrowing costs and the Federal Reserve's commitment to reducing inflation, future financial reporting seasons face even more severe challenges. He noted that although it is still possible to make money by holding stocks in such an environment, the difficulty has significantly increased. In addition, analysts have raised their earnings per share forecasts for the S&P 500 index by 1.4% for the third quarter.
