SEC Approves the Listing of 3 Times the Amount of Bitcoin and Ethereum on CBOE ETF
2026-10-03 19:30:56
CoinMeta Data: On October 2nd, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the listing applications for six triple-leverage products proposed by CBOE BZX, including a 3x Bitcoin ETF and a 3x Ethereum ETF. This approval brings Bitcoin and Ethereum into the same scope of approval as commodities such as gold, silver, crude oil, and natural gas. Each fund aims to achieve three times the daily performance of its reference asset before deducting fees and expenses. The approval from the SEC does not remove existing broker obligations; compliance with suitability and best-interest requirements is still required.
