CoinMeta data: According to monitoring by hyperdash, co-founder of hans, a new revenue stream has been established through hyperliquid's aqav2 mechanism. On October 3rd, the treasury wallet of aqav2 completed its first payment, disbursing $14.58 million from the USDC reserves held by the trading platform over the past 30 days. This funds will be directed into an aid fund to be used for purchasing HYPE. Under this mechanism, after users USDC their assets to hyperliquid, Circle will mint the corresponding assets on hyperevm and charge a fee based on the treasury balance on a daily basis, with settlements occurring every 30 days. If Coinbase and Circle fail to make payments on time, they may lose 2% of their pledged amount of HYPE per day. hans indicates that previously, hyperliquid's income mainly came from transaction fees, but now the aqav2 allows the platform to generate revenue from margin deposits, regardless of whether the funds are involved in transactions or not.
