Saudi Aramco warns of 'extremely tight' global oil inventories

CoinMeta data: Saudi Aramco’s CEO, Amin Nasser, stated at an energy intelligence forum in London that global crude oil and refined products inventories are “extremely tight” and may take up to two years to recover. Since the war between the United States, Israel, and Iran in February, there has been a loss of nearly 3 billion barrels of supply, and over 1 billion barrels of inventory have been drawn down to mitigate the impact. Nasser estimated that the world needs an additional 2 million barrels of oil per day to rebuild inventories while meeting ongoing demand. Although oil flows in the Middle East have returned to 98% of pre-war levels, the inventory buffer capacity has been severely weakened. Global commercial inventories now remain at less than 6 billion barrels, with only about 10% actually available. Governments around the world have resorted to emergency reserves. Recently, G7 announced the release of 100 million barrels of crude oil and diesel, but Nasser warned that if commercial inventories continue to deplete, such releases can only provide temporary relief. Oil prices reflect the tense situation; the trading price of Brent crude on Monday was around $102.30, and WTI approached $90.62. Brent crude breaking through $100 has triggered inflationary pressures in import-dependent economies.
