According to CoinMeta, OKX and its parent company, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), have submitted a notice to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), planning to launch 24/7 tokenized stock trading on October 4th. The proposal aims to attract retail and institutional investors and covers over 60 listed companies. The platform will operate under an innovation exemption based on SEC, and must meet conditions such as shareholder protection and issuer objection procedures. Tokenized stocks represent traditional stocks through blockchain digital records, with the aim of linking these records to the rights of conventional shares. ICE disclosed an investment in OKX on March 5th, valued at $25 billion. The collaboration was established in June, with the goal of developing infrastructure for digital financial products.
