Nvidia, Tesla and over 60 US stocks may be traded on-chain 24/7

According to CoinMeta, Nvidia, Tesla, and over 60 US stocks may soon enable 24-hour on-chain trading under a joint initiative by OKX and ICE, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange. This plan is being advanced with new exemptions from SEC and involves stocks such as Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, AMD, Palantir, Coinbase, Robinhood, Circle, and JPMorgan. This move will bring the emerging tokenized stock market closer to that of large US stocks. The OKXICE plan aims to operate around the clock, utilizing the licensed liquidity pool of OKX's X-layer blockchain, rather than relying solely on traditional exchange infrastructure. Tokenized securities will be able to trade with stablecoins such as USDC, USDG, and USDT. Participating wallets will need to meet identity, anti-money laundering, and sanctions requirements. This proposal addresses a major limitation of traditional stock trading by allowing investors to trade Nvidia or Tesla stocks at night, on weekends, and when major US exchanges are closed.
