Nasdaq Sets a Record, Despite 10-Year Treasury Yields Reaching 5.3%
2026-10-06 04:34:40
CoinMeta data: The Nasdaq index hit a new high as the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds rose to 5.3%, with an increase of 1.06%, closing at 27,477.31 points. The S&P 500 index rose by 0.67%. Although generally, high yields put pressure on tech stocks, the profit growth of artificial intelligence is offsetting this pressure. Investors expect the profits of the S&P 500 index to grow by more than 30% year-on-year, with companies related to artificial intelligence contributing to most of this increase. Meanwhile, the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds reached 5.31%, the highest level since 2002.
