Cohere North Release 2: Enterprises Agent begin to have memory, permissions, and budgets
2026-10-06 20:53:38
According to CoinMeta, Cohere has released North, which is a work platform designed specifically for internal corporate use. North allows integration with corporate documents, Slack, GitHub and other systems. Employees can directly use it to search for information, carry out processes, and complete tasks. The platform incorporates cross-session memory, so employees do not need to re-explain their background each time; teams can share knowledge bases, Agent, and automated processes. The company can also set separate permissions for different users and Agent, restricting the data they can access, the models they can use, and the operations they can perform. Administrators can set Token quotas, call frequencies, and total usage limits, and sensitive operations may require manual confirmation. North supports both cloud and private deployment, and can operate completely offline if needed. It is also capable of integrating with models outside of Cohere.
