Bitcoin price lags behind S&P 500 and NASDAQ in hitting record highs

CoinMeta data: Although the S&P 500 and NASDAQ reached record highs on October 6, 2026, the price of Bitcoin lagged behind, falling back to the $85,000 range. Bitcoin has remained within this range for the past two weeks. Usually, the price trend of Bitcoin is closely correlated with that of these risk assets, but this time it did not synchronize. Analysts point out that the strong performance of the U.S. stock market is related to the decline in bond yields, with the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds having dropped to around 5.26%. At the same time, the price of Brent crude oil also fell below $100 per barrel, alleviating inflationary pressures. Asset management firm 21Shares stated that if Bitcoin closes above $88,000 this month, it will confirm a change in trend; if it falls to $81,000, it could further decline to $71,300.
