CoinMeta data: In an interview with BeinCrypto, Bitget CEO Gracy Chen discussed the $3.875 million hacker attack that occurred on September 24th, in which attackers carried out their assault by manipulating the internal withdrawal process. According to a report from Chainalysis, this attack was conducted by North Korean hackers. Chen stated that Bitget completed the phased restart of withdrawals on October 2nd and is still tracking the stolen funds. She mentioned that the frozen funds amount to approximately $1.07 million, which represents 0.28% of the total loss. Chen also noted that Bitget has replenished the protection fund to over $300 million and believes that this threshold is sufficient under the current circumstances. Although the theft exceeded this amount, the company still holds over $1 billion in external capital. Chen also mentioned that the hacker attack had a limited impact on daily operations and profitability, and many customers have begun to return after withdrawals were resumed.
