Cardano Foundation launches CIP-0113 standard, supporting the embedding of compliance rules
2026-10-07 11:58:34
According to CoinMeta, the Cardano Foundation has introduced a programmable token standard called CIP-0113, which allows regulated asset issuers to directly embed rules such as anti-money laundering, sanctions screening, and transfer restrictions into the tokens. These rules are then executed by the Cardano ledger. This standard does not require a hard fork, and the Swiss Capital Market and Technology Association (CMTA) recognizes CIP-0113 programmable asset tokens as equivalent to the CMTA smart contract standards.
