2026-10-07 17:04:37
CoinMeta Data: Ledger launched a Bitcoin lending feature at the Token2049 conference in Singapore, allowing users to borrow money without selling their Bitcoin. Users can use wrapped Bitcoin (such as cBBTC or WBTC) as collateral within the Ledger wallet application to borrow stablecoins like USDC or USDT. This feature is supported by the decentralized credit network Morpho, and users can directly manage their loans within the Ledger wallet. All critical operations must be confirmed on hardware devices. This move takes Ledger one step further into the financial services sector and is expected to attract Bitcoin holders who wish to borrow money without triggering tax issues.
