According to CoinMeta, the credit risk indicators of SpaceX reached record highs. Following reports that SpaceX was in talks with banks and investors for a $40 billion financing deal to purchase NVIDIA chips, the credit risk indicators of SpaceX soared to a new record high on Wednesday, and its bonds also declined in the secondary market. Data from ICE Data Services shows that the five-year credit default swap price of SpaceX rose by 14.5 basis points, to approximately 195.4 basis points per year, marking the highest level during trading since June when the company began active trading of such contracts. Market concerns were also reflected in the secondary market for U.S. investment-grade bonds. Trace data indicates that as of 9:40 a.m. New York time, the yield spread on SpaceX bonds with a 6.65% coupon rate and maturing in 2056 widened by 12 basis points to 238 basis points, significantly higher than the 175 basis points at the time of their issuance in June.
