CoinMeta data: Cryptocurrency wallets controlled by the U.S. government transferred over $103 million in Bitcoin and BNB on Tuesday, of which the Bitcoin portion was 833.6 BTC, worth approximately $71.6 million. Some of the funds were transferred to Coinbase Prime; market observers typically interpret this as a preparation for sale, but the reason for the transfer has not yet been confirmed. Approximately 568.7 BTC of the transferred Bitcoin is related to two Estonians who were sentenced for operating crypto mining services. The remaining 264.9 BTC originated from a 2016 Bitfinex hacking incident. The BNB transferred this time amounted to 40,285 coins, valued at $31.63 million, and can be traced back to Alameda Research associated with a defunct exchange.
