Cardano Programmable Token Standard CIP-0113 Approved
2026-10-08 10:20:31
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Coindesk, the programmable token standard CIP-0113 promoted by the Cardano Foundation has been approved and merged. This standard allows issuers to set KYC whitelists, sanction address restrictions, transfer rules, and also the authority to freeze and seize assets upon regulatory or court requests, mainly targeting regulated stablecoins, tokenized stocks, bonds, and funds. The relevant rules will be automatically executed with the transfer of assets, without the need for a Cardano hard fork.
