According to CoinMeta, Saudi Aramco's CEO Amin Nasser pointed out on Thursday that in order to cope with disruptions in Middle Eastern energy supply, Saudi Arabia is working to increase the capacity of its east-west oil pipeline network to 10 million barrels per day. Nasser stated that the company is conducting engineering studies to explore more crude oil export routes and at the same time reduce the risk of disruptions in major shipping channels. Currently, the east-west oil pipeline connects Saudi Arabia's oil-producing eastern provinces with the port of Yanbu on the Red Sea, with a daily transport capacity of about 7 million barrels, of which approximately 2 million barrels are used for domestic refineries. Nasser mentioned that Saudi Aramco currently exports crude oil through three main routes: the Strait of Hormuz, the Strait of Mandeb, and Sidi Kerir along Egypt's Mediterranean coast.
