According to CoinMeta, the development team of BNB Chain announced that the testnet of BNB Smart Chain ( BSC ) is scheduled to undergo a hardfork upgrade on October 28th. The core contents of this upgrade include the introduction of a dedicated "payment channel" ( payment lane ), which will default to reserving 5% of each block by gas for eligible payment transaction smart contracts to support millisecond-level block timestamps, as well as adding features related to the new compliance asset standard CAS20. Officials are urging validators, node operators, block builders, and developers to prepare in advance for the upgrade adaptation, and testnet nodes must complete the compatibility client upgrade before activation.
