According to CoinMeta, OpenAI stated that this summer, they invited METR and Redwood Research to conduct an in-depth three-week visit to their internal monitoring system and piloted an embedded assessment. The results of the assessment helped OpenAI strengthen security measures during the system expansion process and laid the foundation for future research collaborations with METR and other third-party assessment institutions.
