CoinMeta data: According to a report by Caixin on October 23, European natural gas prices have risen for the fourth consecutive week, with markets continuing to worry that as the region enters the peak season for energy demand, conflicts in the Middle East will continue to squeeze global supply. European benchmark natural gas futures rose to 94 euros per megawatt-hour on Friday, reaching the highest level since December 2022, with a cumulative increase of about 7% this week. Crude oil and electricity contracts also saw increases. The report stated that the United States and Israel have formulated plans to launch another strike against Iran at the beginning of next month, after the U.S. mid-term elections, which has heightened market concerns about further escalation of the conflict.
