According to CoinMeta, and based on regulatory documents obtained by Reuters, six additional companies, including Wells Fargo ( Wells Fargo ), Arm Holdings , and Intuit , have opposed the tokenization of their stocks on the joint trading platforms supported by the crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange ( ICE ). This brings the total number of listed companies that have raised objections to 22, including Microsoft and Alphabet . OKX and ICE had previously planned to tokenize 63 stocks through a joint venture platform and submitted relevant applications to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ) this month. Under the innovative exemption arrangements of SEC , the platform is required to notify the issuing companies before launching the tokenized stocks, and if the issuers object, the stocks cannot be launched. The regulatory documents do not disclose the specific reasons for the companies' objections.
