According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Kyodo News, the Okinawa Defense Bureau of Japan's Ministry of Defense revealed on the 23rd that the medium-range missile launcher "Tifeng," which was previously temporarily deployed at the Kagoshima Air Base of the Maritime Self-Defense Force in Kagoshima Prefecture, has been transported to the U.S. military base at Kadena (located in Kadena Town, Okinawa Prefecture). Regarding the deployment of "Tifeng" in Kadena, the Okinawa Defense Bureau announced in September that the U.S. side explained that this was not a permanent deployment in Japan. It is also stated that no combat troops will be deployed with this equipment. The mayor of Kadena Town, Hiroshi Togaya, previously demanded that this plan be withdrawn, describing it as "ignoring the feelings of the town residents, utterly absurd, and absolutely intolerable." A spokesman for Russia's Foreign Ministry has previously stated that such deployments are unacceptable, urging Japan to fully recognize the outcomes of World War II and to stop the process of "remilitarization."
