Argentine judge cancels investigation into Millet and Hayden Davis

According to CoinMeta, Argentine Federal Judge Marcelo Martínez de Jorge ruled on October 23 to dismiss the criminal investigations against President Javier Milei, his sister Karina Milei, and American businessman Hayden Davis. The investigation did not find any evidence that Karina Milei had received payments in exchange for arranging meetings with the founder of Libra. Milei’s government celebrated this ruling, while the opposition criticized the decision, claiming that investors lost over $200 million. The judge noted that the investors’ losses and price fluctuations were not sufficient to constitute fraud. In February 2025, Milei promoted Libra, stating that the project would support small businesses; however, subsequent price collapses led to investor losses.
