HTX adds Russia to the restricted list, Bitget and MEXC withdraw
2026-10-24 15:43:12
According to CoinMeta, HTX announced that it would add Russia to its list of jurisdictions subject to service restrictions, allowing it to limit services and close affected accounts. This move follows similar decisions by Bitget and MEXC, as sanctions from the UK and the EU, as well as reports of Binance suspending transaction matching and network connections with HTX, have put pressure on HTX's international operations. Under the updated user agreement, the restrictions imposed by HTX apply to individuals residing in Russia or accessing the platform from Russia, as well as companies registered in Russia or primarily operating there. HTX has not yet disclosed when the restrictions will take effect or whether the suspension of Russian accounts has already begun. Meanwhile, Russia has now joined other jurisdictions subject to such restrictions, including the United States, the UK, the EU, Singapore, Iran, and Syria.
