Argentina withdraws criminal charges against President Javier Milei
2026-10-25 12:50:41
According to CoinMeta, on October 23, a federal judge in Argentina ruled to dismiss the criminal investigation against President Javier Milei and 10 other individuals regarding the collapse of the $LIBRA token, stating that there was not enough evidence to prove fraudulent conduct. Although Milei's public promotion led to the severe collapse of the token, the judge deemed that the public support and subsequent financial losses were not sufficient to establish intentional fraud. The ruling also covered Milei's sister, Karina, American businessman Hayden Davis, and other individuals related to the token issuance in February 2025. Although the criminal proceedings in Argentina have been dismissed, some affected investors are seeking to re-establish their status as parties to the case in order to potentially appeal the ruling.
